Value Engineering
Value Engineering is a methodology for maximizing the performance and minimizing the cost of particular construction options. EGCL recognizes the importance of value engineering and readily incorporates it into the design phase or tender phase to generate cost-saving alternatives while maintaining high-quality results. EGCL will review proposals and construction cost estimates for appropriateness, evaluate line item costs and determine if the process or approach to a particular portion of work is both practical and cost effective. We can streamline and optimize expenditure without compromising on operational efficiency and quality, thus adding immense value to our projects.

Our Execution team provides a complete range of professional services including initial planning (tasks, resources, and schedule), task oversight, tracking, reporting and change management. Manufacturing / Construction and target programs are prepared using cutting-edge technology. Each program contains a well-defined critical path, starting and finishing milestones, manpower planning for each activity, equipment planning for each activity, S-Curves, material schedules and delivery schedules for long lead items. Our agile and responsive approach to management gives us the resilience to execute and complete even in trying times. We think beyond and deliver more.
Quality
EGCL practices "QUALITY” in Manufacturing as well as Project Management methods to ensure all our work is done right, complete and free of defects the first time. This in-house program is our way of making sure projects go beyond being just "good enough" and exceed the expectations of customers. We do this by holding pre-installation meetings and conducting inspections during the critical path of the various projects including first delivery of materials, first equipment installations, mock-ups, benchmarks for each new type of work, and closure of utility systems. Even after the project is complete and handed over, EGCL conducts a quality evaluation of its work for several years. The quality designs are prepared and handed over to our customer on job to job basis.
Design & Engineering
EGCL has the capacity to provide DESIGN AND ENGINEERING solutions for various sectors including MEP works. Our team of experienced designers can provide services such as structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire fighting and detection, and plumbing designs. EGCL's design emphasizes cost effectiveness, quality and functionality. Designs are value engineered from the outset to assure optimization of owner budgets. We are proud to maintain our long-standing lead on sustainability, thus we explore and employ clean tech methodologies to significantly reduce our environmental footprint.
Risk management
On an EGCL project, RISK MANAGEMENT starts on day one of the initial project/production meeting and continues through commissioning. From the start, controls are placed for costs, schedule, quality and safety. Costs are controlled through planning, tender, accounts and the MIS departments through reporting procedures for budget compliance. Detailed monthly profit & loss statements and labour rate analysis reports are generated to ensure that costs are within budget, which results to enhanced financial control of the project.
Financial management
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT is centralized at the corporate office which provides complete control over every project activity. The activities are closely monitored to ensure a strong liquidity position. The Group also has its own debt recovery department which takes care of any outstanding payments and thus helps improve cash flow of its companies. Accident prevention is a line management responsibility that is shared at every level of our organization, from the Chairman all the way through to the work force. We are OHSAS18001:2007 certified.
